ARTIST STATEMENT

“This collection of works reflects my curiosity on the state of mind where we can operate both in a conscious and subconscious state of mind, especially when supported by a well worn routine.

The works hover between representation and abstraction much like that hypnotic quality of being both present and absent when on auto-pilot on familiar journeys.

Through abstracted forms - a hint of the horizon, treelines and pathways, I hope to invite viewers to recognise their own moments of magical monotony when repetitive actions free the mind to wander.”
