"I dream my painting and then I paint my dream". Van Gogh

Painted whilst navigating sleep deprivation, this series of works was dreamt up as I drowsily made my way through life as an exhausted mum of two. As I rocked/patted/shooshed my baby during the long nights, I found myself drifting into an almost meditative state, ideas of compositions and colour schemes acting like a life raft to soothe myself. The coffee fuelled days spent longing for 'down time' so I could head to the studio, always torn between my head craving a pillow but my heart craving a brush.
